‘LET’S GO GIRLS….’ Cheadle SMUFC Celebrating Girls Football
Cheadle SMUFC are helping to celebrate the development of Girls football following the amazing success of the England Lionesses. The club has been working with girls for over five years and has offered opportunities not only for the girls to develop their skills, have fun and make new friends, but also to take part in a range of football related activities.
The most exciting of these was our trip to St Georges Park, the home of England football earlier this year when a few lucky girls had the chance to meet England stars Nikita Parris, Beth England and Georgia Stanway as well as taking part in a coaching session in this prestigious venue. We have also been flag bearers at Stoke City as well as playing in tournaments with teams from around the County and taking part in the Cheadle Carnival Parade.
Last season we entered two teams into the Staffordshire Girls and Ladies League and these girls are going forward at ages U9 and U13 into the 2022/23 season.
To celebrate the development of females in football we are pleased to offer two free coaching sessions for girls only on August 10th and August 22nd from 10am to 12 midday at South Moorlands Leisure Centre, Cheadle.
This is open to girls of primary school age only and is part of the clubs pathway for girls football. The session will be run by coaches qualified up to EUFA B (FA level 3) standard. It doesn’t matter if the girls have never kicked a ball – just come along, have fun and see how it goes.
Our club has a super group of qualified and experienced coaches/volunteers and a strong support infrastructure which includes Welfare Officers and a dedicated committee.
So come on, ‘Lets Go Girls’
To take part please contact Christine Morton on 07840 337533 ...
