31 teams. More than 500 players. Coaches holding UEFA B, UEFA C and FA Level 1 licences. We compete in Saturday and Sunday league football at multiple levels, from our youngest Under 8s right through to our open age adult sides.
Cheadle SMU is one of the biggest grassroots clubs in Staffordshire, with boys and girls football all under one roof. Every team is coached by DBS checked coaches who are passionate about the game and the community it builds. Our coaching staff hold UEFA B, UEFA C and FA Level 1 licences. Many of our teams also benefit from the club's advanced Veo technology camera, capturing pixel-perfect moments and full match recordings available after every game.

Four stages of the journey, from the very first sessions through youth football and into open age adult football, competing across the North Staffs Junior Youth League and the Staffordshire Junior Football League.

Saturday Morning Sessions
Two sessions every Saturday at South Moorlands Leisure Centre. Great for little ones just starting out. First taster completely free, then just £5 a session. No booking needed, just turn up.
A Place To Belong
With almost three million active female players, football is the biggest women’s team sport in England, and there is plenty of room for more. At Cheadle SMU there are many ways for girls to get involved, whatever your age or ability.
Following the successful FA Wildcats programme, we now run U9 Girls, U11 Girls, U13 Girls Red and U13 Girls Blue teams in the league, with all training and games led by our FA accredited coaches. We focus on developing footballing ability, but most important is that the girls make friends, have fun and stay active.
